Artwork Title: A Family Matter.... This artwork is coming soon, by Sam Matamua.

A Family Matter, by Sam Matamua

Horses gather silently in the deep dark forest. As of Tuesday March 6th, this image has been redering for 57 days straight on my Core i7. Looks like its still got a couple weeks to go. I've been able to pause the render for a few hours here and there to work on a couple other projects, like the one below, but sheesh.

Artwork Title: Island Girl.... Portrait of a sexy bikini girl watching the sunset, by Sam Matamua.

Island Girl, by Sam Matamua

Sorry gents, but she's all digital. This ones not done yet, but far enough along that it will look pretty much like what you see here. I'm still waiting on the freaken horse picture above to finish rendering, so this lovely young lady will have to wait, but she's next in line.

Hello there! My name is Sam Matamua and I made all the artwork you see on this site. You can purchase larger size prints directly from this website (MatamuaArt.com, where you are now) via PayPal, while smaller sizes (like 13x19 and smaller) may be found on both eBay and ETSY. My entire inventory is available on ETSY plus quite a few not found here, while eBay has just a select number of prints on auction.

Here is all my latest artwork. The very latest stuff will be ontop.

Meet Me by the Fallen Tree, by Sam Matamua.

Meet me by the fallen tree, said the one rhino to the other. Together they ponder the great fallen tree. This was made with Bryce software (a computer rendering program).

Prints available in my ETSY store.

Artwork Title: Meet Me by the Fallen Tree. Black and white portrait of rhinos and a big tree, by Sam Matamua.

Explorers, by Sam Matamua.

This was made with Bryce software (a computer rendering program). The rhinos are exploring the terrain. In my mind, a flood has recently washed through the area and the ground is still wet and muddy. Some trees have been pushed over in the background.

Prints available in my ETSY store.

Artwork Title: Explorers. Black and white portrait of rhinos in the wild, exploring their territory, by Sam Matamua.

Golden Voyage, by Sam Matamua.

An old sailing ship on a golden voyage. This could be early morning or late afternoon, or if you prefer, maybe that's a yellow moon guiding their way.

Credit to Jed for a fantastic ship model.

Breather, by Sam Matamua.

The idea for this one is that this rock serves as a rest stop for birds flying over the ocean. Its just like when your traveling down that long freeway and see a sign for an upcoming rest stop, at that point you'll usually make a snap decision whether or not you need or want to pull over. Made with Bryce Software.

Artwork Title: looking for mommy.... The silhouette of a small child opening a door and being bathed in mysterious light from the other side, by Sam Matamua.

My Little Rock Garden, by Sam Matamua.

I built this entire scene solely around the mountain in the background because I liked its shape, I thought it had character. All the rocks sticking out of the lake are made up of the same material. A thin mist hovers over the water. That's it. Real simple. Just a pretty looking landscape picture. Everything nearer to the camera is slightly out of focus, lending some depth of field.

Artwork Title: My Little Rock Garden. Panorama portrait of a mountain in the background with lots of rocks in a lake, by Sam Matamua.

Up in the Air, by Sam Matamua.

In this picture you're looking straight down the side of a mountainous cliff. In my mind this is an island out in the pacific somewhere, but could just as easily be from somewhere along the cost of San Diego.

Artwork Title: Up in the Air. Looking down on seagulls as they fly over a rocky island cliff, by Sam Matamua.

The Way Back Home, by Sam Matamua.

I thought this picture needed to be black and white. The story here is that this is somebody who is leaving their home, leaving all that they know and are familiar with. At some point along the journey they stop and turn around, and for one brief moment, they consider turning back.
