Equilibrium, by Sam Matamua. Black and white portrait of three San Diego boats found along the peir. |

Coronado Bridge Black and White, by Sam Matamua. This is the world famous Coronado Bridge, part of the San Diego skyline, seen here at night and in black and white, from the Coronado side of the bay. I was standing south of the bridge itself (I actually snuck onto a golf course in the middle of the night to get this shot). |

Face Dark: Ashes to Ashes, by Sam Matamua. Its a good day for a zombie apocalypse. |
|---|

Dark Side of San Diego II, by Sam Matamua. Black and White artistic panorama of the San Diego Skyline. That looks like one hell of a thunderstorm moving in. We San Diegans aren't used to this type of weather! |

Forsaken Cat, by Sam Matamua. As a cat lover I have been around cats all my life. I've found that its fairly easy to take 'cute' cat pictures, especially when you have lived with kittens. |
|---|
The Forgotten, by Sam Matamua. Proof that the lights don't have to be off for things to get creepy. |
|---|
Dark Trees Reflecting Darkly, by Sam Matamua. Dark trees reflecting quietly. |
|---|
Face Dark: Infinity Ward, by Sam Matamua. An evil face stares out into the darkness. |
|---|
Face Dark: Requiem, by Sam Matamua. I showed this to my mom and she said it looks like the last dying dream/vision of a solider as he lays dying on the battlefield. That's better than how I was going to describe it. |
|---|
Yucky Cat, by Sam Matamua. A cat with food all over its face. Here kitty kitty, come snuggle with momma. |
|---|
Hunter, by Sam Matamua. Black and white portrait of a wolf prowling alone through an eerily lit forest. This image took me about two years to make. It won 3rd place (out of almost 10,000 entries) in the 2007 Art of Photography Show. |

The Black Forest, by Sam Matamua. I had this picture of some really tall and slender trees that were also kinda creepy looking. So I got the idea to make a haunted forest scene. I knew the format had to be a panorama in order to keep the trees looking tall. Making it black-and-white also was an obvious choice here. Nothing sets the mood like B&W. Then I added some scary looking fog and a mysterious lake of black water and PRESTO, instant haunted forest. |

looking for mommy..., by Sam Matamua. Silhouette portrait of a creepy baby opening a door and being bathed in light. Its looking for mommy. Umm, I don't think mommy wants this kid to find her. |

Face Dark, by Sam Matamua. I made a series of creepy artistic images all derived from photos I took of this old doll I found while going through my mom's closet. This was the first, entitled simply Face Dark, but I made a few more over the years and those are available in my shop as well. |
